Does the red status LED blink 3 times when you reboot?
Can you upload any code?

You can replace the board and upgrade it to a + for 75 dollars.

+1 if you paid $250 for just the controller you got robbed...hope there were some add-ons in that purchase. Either way, you are MUCH better off with the plus in the long term.

If it doesn't upload anything, it could be water damage.
Does it do the same thing with just the head unit without the relay box?? Use the usb power cable.

He paid 250$ for the controler, the WIFI module, the Jeabo cable, 2 temp probes, PH and extention cable for the PH, both float switch fixed properly.

It was working just fine when I sold it. I even tested it the night before and it was working well. Now what hapened when he plugged it????? dunno. I am going to take the controller back and give him his money back, and get back a broken controller for 250$! yeah, that suck.

I am going to repair what ever was broken and sell it back. Or maybe keep it for my freshwater tank. I had to quit saltwater domain due to allergies.

Maybe it's a sign I should keep it, lol! Anyway, no water dammage, there was never any water on it as it was far from the water. It was working perfectly.

what could have hapened? Is it possible to screw the unit if one plug it the wrong way?

Now I will need to find out what hapened to it and what's broken. Next time I sell it to someone I will make sure they know how to plug it right :(

There was, but the controller would still boot and the red status led would blink 3 times on reboot.
He would also be able to upload codes.
If the red led doesn't blink at all and he can't upload any code, there may be something else wrong.

Ok but what's wrong then? I have the controller back and gave him is money back.. Now I have a broken controller and not sure what is broken, not sure what hapened to it.

The wifi seem to react when I click on my iphone as I can see the orange light on it blink when I hit a request, but everhthing but the green light is dead. No power from the relay. What could have hapened that did this?? It was working very well before.

Could it be a short circuit or something similar? Is there a fuse in this relay that could be burnt? What should I look for?

If the green light is ON, but nothing else, what is broken? the module? the relay? what?

I need to get the broken part and replace it. I will replace the broken part and add a leak detector and keep the controler for my freshwater drip system to receive alert and to shut off the pump in case of a leak.

It's hard to say.
I think is it most likely just the head unit.
You can order a replacement board or send it back if you want to find out what the problem is.

There is no way to test weater it is the head unit or the relay box? can the relay box at least be tested without the head unit?

Also is there a fuse somewhere in the system that could be burnt and need replacement? there is a little button on the relay box, what's that for?

That's a breaker, but if it was the breaker, you wouldn't get any power in the entire system.
If the head unit is getting power (green LED), it is most likely not the relay box.
But you can test if the voltage in the head unit is correct.
Use a multimeter and check for what voltage you get in the two outer pins of the temp probe connector.
It should be 5V.

ok, I don't have a multimeter. I tried uploading the code and nothing happen. Seem that it's the main unit that is defective. How could this hapened? Is it possible that he plugged it the wrong way and dammaged it? It was working fine when I unpluged it and the red ligth does not light up.

Me think he plugged it wrong. what happen if you plug the upload cable the wrong way?

''Note: Make sure you connect the cable as the picture below. The black wire must be the right-most position and the 2 left-most pins must be unconnected. Failure to do so can lead to damage to your Reef Angel Controller head unit and/or cable''
