Kind of defeats the purpose with a gyre type flow. The goal isn't to randomize but provide a consistent strong current from what I understand.

I was thinking more strength of flow. I don't randomize flow, but try to control the rate at different times of the day. Although I think Roberto is probably right in that it doesn't look controllable.

Actually... It looks awesome... Did you look at the other video in the 220 gal tank? That little thing can move water!

Roberto,

Did you ever receive any information from maxspect as to whether or not the RA will be able to control it?

I think maxpect have said it won't be controllable from other controllers. But who knows if there is a workaround, can't see it working too differently to other power heads.

Any news regarding this? I heard some rumors about an advanced controller coming from Maxspect enabling 3rd party control but haven't seen anything official yet.

I bought one of them to check and although they use a similar plug, all the motor control is actually inside their controller unit.
So, there is no interfacing with it as of right now.

I believe the controlability was said to be in future models. The ones being released now are the basic.
