wifi issues

Hi, Brand new to Reef Angel, just got my RA Plus Unit and Wifi attachment yesterday. All hardware is working correctly and I'm able to load code. I ran wifi setup successfully, uploaded wifi test code, but not able to connect with browser. The setup gave me 1.2.3.4:2000 which doesn't look right. When I connect the wifi to the head unit I see green blinking light, but when I type that address in firefox it just says connecting... then times out. I reran the wifi setup several times, each time I get the same results: 1.2.3.4:2000. When I bring up DHCP Client Table in the router settings, I don't see any reef angel connection. I do notice, however, that when I connect the wifi to the head unit, I can no longer connect to the internet with my macbook pro. I also can't login with ps3 which normally uses wifi as well. Looks like some kind of conflict. After I unplug reef angel wifi and restart the router I'm back up on the internet with Macbook pro and ps3. When I check DHCP client in the router settings, I see macbook pro on 192.168.1.121, but no reef angel, though I also don't see ps3 connection even though I'm logged in--which leads me to believe that reef angel could be up and running but how would I know what internal ip to check? But either way, it's still bringing down my wifi.

I'm using Cisco E3200 router with Windows 7 Desktop and Macbook Pro laptop connected through wifi (when Reef Angel's wifi is not plugged in).

Found router Linksys Series Router E3200

Unable to setup port forwarding. This step will have to be done manually. For more information for your specific type of router, please visit ww.portforward

I don't think it worked either.
It seems the router doesn't want to give an address or vice-versa.
Using tera term, if you type $$$ you will go into command mode.
The module will respond with CMD
Then, use this command:
get e
Post the response.
Was this module purchase new?

Ok thanks. will try that tonight. Also, I'm not sure if I did the above steps correctly toward the end. Wasn't sure whether to have the wifi utility running also? I'm not that great with networking.

It worked! I'm not sure exactly what I did, but I ran the tera term, then configuration again but this time it assigned an internal IP (Security is set back to WPA2/WPA Mixed mode)

Now I'm getting problems accessing from outside the network. Here's what I've done:

1. turn off Windows Firewall
2. setup port forwarding
app: reef angel
Ext port: 2000
Int port: 2000
Protocol: both (TCP UDP)
IP address: 192.168.1.100 (the ip that works internally)
Enabled: yes

This url brings up the interface: http://192.168.1.100:2000/wifi
When I put http://x.x.x.x:2000/wifi connection times out
where x.x.x.x is the ip my provider assigns to my computer (in router status)

Restarted router and now port forwarding is working (I can see if from outside the network), though there's a new problem. It assigned a different local IP address, and I couldn't see it in the router settings until I unplugged and replugged in the wifi attachment. Is there a way to force it to a specific internal ip? e.g. 192.168.1.121?

Your router should have something for that.
It's called ip reservation. It's based on MAC address.
