How to connect your Jebao pump to your Reef Angel
This end goes to the Power supply that came with the Jebao and the power supply can plug into any outlet, It doesn't need to plug into a relay.
This end connects to the pump.
This end connects to one of your dimming ports.

Re: How to connect your Jebao pump to your Reef Angel
Is the Jebao connector an ordinary female circular connector aka MIKE connector?
Re: How to connect your Jebao pump to your Reef Angel
No. It's a waterproof connection and it screws together.
A Mic or XLR connection snaps together and has a little button to release it.

Oh, didn't know that. Thanks for the explanation. Now tell men will this connector fit?

They look like the same, but the first is 0.3mm2 and the second is 0.75mm2.

The 2nd one looks correct.
There is a link to it on here somewhere.
I definitely know there is one on Reef Central in this 100+ page thread somewhere.

Thank you very much, people!
Re: How to connect your Jebao pump to your Reef Angel
Hi, I was wondering if you could give a little more detail here or perhaps a wiring diagram?
It would be helpful to see a shot of the entire setup in a connected state.
Much thanks,
Rob

Are looking to understand how to connect i to the RA and the pump or are you trying to figure out how to make one?
This is the schematic that Roberto put up for the boards when he first made them.
It's kind of hard to get a shot of it in it's connected state with all the gear under my cabinet.
It's pretty simple to connect.

Re: How to connect your Jebao pump to your Reef Angel
A simple question came into my mind: reef angel PWM level is 10v. Is it possible to drive these pumps with 5v pwm level?
Re: How to connect your Jebao pump to your Reef Angel
I'm sure it is. It may require a mod to the cable.
Roberto can chime in on that.
Are you trying to slow the pump down, buy reducing the voltage to it?

Yes. You need a modified cable. The jaebo's are actually controlled by 0-5V Analog. There is a filter on the jaebo cable that converts it to analog and also drops the voltage down. At least this is my understanding...

Re: How to connect your Jebao pump to your Reef Angel
Oh, ok! I see there is a jumper at the cabe which enables a voltage divider working at 50%, so I just have to close the jumper to make PWM level work at 50%?
Re: How to connect your Jebao pump to your Reef Angel
You have four inputs and three outputs. The inputs are 24 VCD, Ground DC (these both come from the power supply) and data 10 VDC and data ground. The data ground and power supply ground are joined on the board. The three outputs are data or control, 24 VDC and ground. Not sure where you're seeing a jumper. The data 10 VDC goes through a voltage divider to make it 5 VDC and a capacitor to smooth the PWM to analog.

Fatman, you are perfectly right. I thought the JP1 connector from the schematic posted by Sacohen was a jumper. Too fast analysis by myself. Thank you for your explanation. It got perfectly clear. Thank you!!

Not bad for a Fatman.Jorge Ramalho wrote:Fatman, you are perfectly right. I thought the JP1 connector from the schematic posted by Sacohen was a jumper. Too fast analysis by myself. Thank you for your explanation. It got perfectly clear. Thank you!!
