Post by Xender »

Hello,

I'm using DI-O wireless which is CHACON protocol (433Mhz).
Can we have CHACON also supported?
We can use :
- USB wireless key like : Transceiver USB Rfxcom
- 433Mhz RF link kit : http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/433Mhz ... p-127.html
- 433Mhz Wireless Serial Transceiver Module - 1 Kilometer : http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/433Mhz ... Path=19_22

Also some of ather maybe interested with EnOcean, X10, etc

Thanks

Yeap. I got a couple of them made and are available.
I also made one of the dimmable LED drivers and it is also working beautiful :)
I should have the RANet-ready Relay box in a couple weeks.

Okay. I hate all the darn wires. Pm me how much for the relay box and RANet add on board. The wireless LED driver looks good.

Other ideas...
1. Wireless Dimming Expansion 8 or 16 port options.
2. Wireless Jebao Driver - could just plug in the pump power and tap into that for running the electronics.
3. Wireless Dosing Pumps - as in - on when wanted vs tying up an outlet on relay box/power control expansion.
4. RACam - just a nice little hd camera on a pcb for your tank. Maybe use one of those Spark Chips you ordered.

I have had the same problem when trying to PM Roberto, it just sits in my outbox for a while and then eventually goes thru.

Yep, I am an unintelligent bass. I am used to vBulletin, this is phpBB. Feeling sheepish. Sorry for the 3 PM's filling up your inbox.

Info sent.

Also, just wondering - How much for a 16 channel Dimming expansion? Just want to start saving for the "next round" of purchases. My expansion hub feels lonely - no one to talk to sitting in the cupboard.

Late,
GC

PS - Like any of the/my ideas for RANet?

What is the distance on these? Like can I add on and control my frag tank in another room with the relays? Regardless it's a game changer for sure.. This will make the controller such a clean install.

Please Pm me the details, price of the add on and relays etc.. I may need start a sps sale thread to fund it since my tank is a little crowded at the moment =) ..

How is the RANet Relay Box code done? Just Like a standard relay expansion? Something else?

Code: Select all

ReefAngel.StandardLights( Box1_Port3,22,13,19,0 );
or something like

Code: Select all

ReefAngel.RANet.Relay.StandardLights( Port3,22,13,19,0);
Already added lines/file for the Dimming Expansion based on this:

http://forum.reefangel.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4851
(Oh. Roberto. Is your very specific folder location in Post 6 my fault? He He  )

Thank you in advance.

I just got mine today and haven't set it up yet, but from what I understand it is coded like a standard relay.

Thanks. I was thinking that since the dimming expansion is coded the same, the relay box might be as well.

I never looked (and likely couldn't tell anyway), but I guess the new file in the libraries folder is like a new organizational structure - if it sees code for a standard relay box, but doesn't have one on the "USB" port, it goes to the RANet board next. Makes me wonder if I had both a standard relay expansion, and the RANet relay expansion, which would be Box 1? That brings up another question - How many RANet Relay boxes can I have?

Let me know if it works for you the standard code way. I doubt I am going to try and test tonight.

Thanks,
GC

There dip switches on the side of the RANet so you fill them to be relay expansion 1 or 2.
I may be wrong, but you are limited to the same # of relay expansions as normal, which is 8.

You can have 8 total expansion boxes. Mix/match of wired or wireless.
The wireless boxes have a dip switch on the side that you can use to set just like the expansion relay module.

I believe you need to PM Roberto. He has some in, but has not put them in the store yet.
I got mine a couple of weeks ago, but have not hooked it up because I'm setting it up for my 90 gallon upgrade that I just started.

Any discussion of a remote temp probe? Would be great for keeping an eye on heater malfunction in the qt/frag tanks .

The remote relay and dimming expansion are the only things available right now.
I have the relay and it works great.
