Cannot upload anything to the controller.

Post by pontopnop »

Hello,
I am trying to upload codes to my new ReefAngel Plus controller, but this is what i get:

Error uploading

"The following features were automatically added:
Watchdog Timer
Version Menu

The following features were detected:
Simple Menu
Binary sketch size: 23,324 bytes (of a 258,048 byte maximum)
Rebooting Reef Angel Controller
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_getsync(): timeout communicating with programmer"

I have Mac OSX, installed driver, copied everything as instructed, connecting USB/TTL cable correctly, have power on my controller, choosing correct board, tried every possible serial port, tried every USB port i have on my computer, it just does not reboot when it supposed to.

Any help appreciated.

Open the case and hold the reset button. Push the upload button on your screen and when it says rebooting let go of the reset button. It's weird but worked for me. Was able to upload a few different codes but system won't reboot on its own.

Similar problem; solved... I was plugging my TTL cable in flush left, when you need to plug it in flush right... Black cable to outermost pin.
