RA & nano box driver

Post by d0lph1n »

Is it possible to control the nano box driver with RA?

I'm interested in buying their 13up board.

The owner says it's not possible and recommends Inventronics drivers instead.

He says to use a 25w Inventronics.

I think all inventronics accept both Analog or PWM signals.
Just look in the datasheet of the driver and look for the dimming signal.

It says they use analog signals.
You can use them. You will also need the PWM-to-Analog lead wire.

I couldn't find a digital driver. The P version provides constant current:

I ordered my LEDs from Dave. I used EUC -025S070DS - EUC Series 25 W 0.7 A 36 V Dimmable Outdoor Constant Current LED Driver.

I ordered 2 x boards. One for refugium (board2) and one for the main tank (board1), both 12 inch cubes.
I'm planning to run the boards with the same pair of drivers , a pair of relays and RA for dimming:

Daytime
driver1 + relay1 (off): board1 - blue ch
driver2 + relay2 (off):: board1 - white ch

Dusk
driver1 + relay1 (off): board1 - blue ch
driver2 + relay2 (on): board2 - blue ch

Night
driver 1 + relay1 (on): board2 - white ch
driver 2 + relay2 (on): board2 - blue ch

Dawn
driver1 + relay1 (off): board1 - blue ch
driver2 + relay2 (on): board2 - blue ch

Each mode will have different dimming stages.

For runnign 2 boards, Dave suggested a 2 x 40w driver, one fore bleu ch. (board1+2) and one for white ch. (board1+2) but I'm not sure I need that much power since I'll never run both boards (white&blue ch) in the same time. What do you guys suggest?

I ordered 2 x 25w EUC -025S070DS from futurelightingsolutions.
I'll order the PWM-to-Analog lead wire from roberto.
