problem with relay box?

Post by Meshmez »

I was taking the relay box off my old tank to move to my new tank, and i heard a rattling inside. I was able to get a small piece of something to fall out. I have attached pictures. its a little under 1/4" square. It looks like the casing on an electrical component, a capacitor or something. Is this anything to be worried about?

You should be fine, but if you want it replaced, send it back.
Those are part of the dampening circuit if you use Koralias as wavemakers.

It will only be a problem if you run Koralias as wavemakers on port 5 or 6.

Your controller may reboot once in a while when you are running a rapid on/off on those ports. That's why only port 5 and 6 are intended to be used as wavemakers when koralias are used. Only those ports have the dampening circuit.
