I've noticed that the RA* relay box now defaults to Box1_Port(n) for the main relay. Previously the main relay didn't have a box# preceding it. Going to add another relay box so I may have to change the second relay box dip switches to box2?
Is there any way to tell what the name of last firmware I pushed out to the RA, either over the portal or over local was?
On the status screen the line that states "Cloud Connection" always states Disconnected, is this normal? I have been able to push out firmware over the network so I don't think it's a problem. But is there a way to add a timestamp to the last time the cloud connection was made?
Correct on the boxes. All relay boxes are expansion boxes. So set first one to id 1 and the second as id 2.
If connection is showing disconnected, the username/password is wrong.
Did you update the password? Your login was created well before the cloud server came online and you need to reset password so the cloud server can authenticate you.
The connection problem has been fixed with the password update. However I am having some issues with the relay turning on when the RA* has been inactive. I had my lights to turn on at 10am, I checked the portal and everything looked fine. However when I got home the lights weren't on. I touched the LCD screen so that the screen wakes then the lights turn on. Do you know what would cause this issue? I'll test this issue again in the morning.
I used the settings in code so didn't think much about the internal memory. I looked over the internal memory and corrected some of the values on the webportal. Does the webportal upload the internal memory settings to the controller after saving it?

If so, it does not.
RA* only accepts expansion modules.
In order to use your main relay box as expansion, you need one of the old relay expansion modules, which we are in the process of getting them built to sell in the web store.
They cost $50.
We only have one of them in stock before we get the next batch.
Roberto - any update on the status of the old relay expansion modules?
when I loaded my code none of the time schedules are working properly, all my lights stay on. also when I go in to try reloading my code I cant get the com3 to show up, theres no ports listed. I cant figure out how to get the cloud working either. instructions are very vague.
Did you install the plugin?
Does it show plugin connected?
How did you loaded your code if there are no com ports listed?
Did you reset the password for the forum? Your username was created way before the cloud server came online. There is a note stating that you must reset or it won't authenticate you

I did install the plug in. It shows connected. I had com 3 once, now I don't. Cant get it to come back. I did reset the password. I'm lost with this star and thinking about hooking my plus back up. My screen is intermittent, sometimes won't even turn on when touched. My ports issuing the time on/off programming don't turn off, ever. I bought the TL wifi adapter, set it up as client and hooked a LAN cable between the two. Not sure what's wrong but frustrated. Any help, please and thank you
I have noticed that if the network connection is not available, there is a delay in the device responding to touchscreen touches and updating the display. I found this out when I was working on my firewall rules and a separate dhcp server. I haven't looked into it more closely, just mostly sharing with everyone.

I was having this issue also. Turns out the connection between the head unit and relay box was loose and had to reinsert it. So double check that sure all connections are secure.
up to 30 seconds or so (maybe a little less, not certain). then there would be a screen update for a second or 2 and then you would have the same no response to touches or display update.
i was testing it with a network link just no ip address yet or with an ip but traffic being stopped by firewall.
i have not tested this without a network connection. i have been too busy to try but will later today.

So rather than the standard 8 I get with both systems, I could upgrade to the star and get 16.
May be shooting for the stars here but after this last hurricane I went through, I need to automate much more to ease my recovery time and effort
yes, however you will need the relay expansion module to turn the relay box into an expansion box.

We found that many users prefer to have hardwire and there is no such thing as wifi to ethernet, but there are many ethernet to wifi adapters. We have used with great results TP Link TL-WR710N, which serves dual purpose. The single device can provide power and wifi to your RA Star.

Hello, I clicked this link to get this item but they no longer sell it? Can you recommend another one for wifi? And can you fix your link requirements for replies? Preventing me from posting based on your comment is not very friendly...

You should be good now.
You can get those on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Wireless ... B00FRMAOIO
Oh...
eBay it is then... http://www.ebay.com/itm/TP-Link-TL-WR71 ... Sw9KpW~XU8
I need to find another one. That module has been discontinued by the manufacturer, but basically any wifi to ethernet would work.
The good thing of this particular TP Link module is that it has both USB and ethernet ports and it has builtin wall plug, so with one device, you can power RA and also provide ethernet connectivity straight from the wall plug.
