Humm.
No. You can use a custom vars to store ip address, but there is no connection to cloud server check.
The mqtt protocol doesn't provide that info.
It's a subscription based and all subscribed clients receive the data without any discrimination of connection state.
What you can do is create your own heartbeat and keep listening to see if you get stuff from controller every x seconds, but I would think that listening for temperature or pH readings would do the same as they frequently change anyway.
