ReefAngel Plus screen freaking out

Just last night, my screen on the Reefangel plus is flashing through all the different screens at the speed of light or close to it. No matter what I do, it just keeps cycling through the different screens. The joystick isn't stuck, and I can get the the list of menu options if I push in the joystick, but it will go back out to the screens and keep cycling thru. Any ideas?

Try rebooting it.
But that may be an indication that the joystick is bad or there is water damage somewhere.

It was happening with mine too. I unscrewed some of the bolts behind the RA +realizing that pressure on the board (or in the joystick) was making it go crazy...

I have been coping by leaving the screen on the "version" choice off the menu, but other than that the screens flash over and over. Is the only option to by a new head unit or is there some way to fix the joystick?

Can you desolder the old joystick?

no, I can't desolder it. I have never done that before

You will need to send it back for repair or get a replacement head unit board.

old thread, but just this week, this problem fixed itself. Now it works fine, no more flashing of screens. Works just like the day I bought it
