Ph expansion calibration issues

Post by alexr54 »

I just received the new Ph expansion today.

Hooked it all up and added the new Ph probe.

Selected to calibrate the Ph Exp from the setup menu. The levels are extremely off. Ph7 is reading at 1150 and PH10 is reading about the same.

Is there anything i can do? Am i missing something?

Everything sounds awesome and would be awesome, if i can just get it working ;)

btw the new temp probe works :)

In the process of calibrating the new Ph probe (for controller PH). Probe seems to be working ok.

Im trying again. Now with the probe in ph7 solution its reading 1166.

Trying the ph10 solution after this stays stable for 10 minutes.

EDIT:
PH10 solution is at 1143.

The ph expansion is definitely not working....
Wow, is it just me or is this like a regular thing?
So far all the parts i have ordered have been 50/50 working/not working. This makes it extremely difficult thinking i am doing something wrong when in fact the hardware is just messed up.

Need to setup an exchange.

Guys I apologize for all my posts but I really do require some support here.
The PH expansion sent to me is not working. I need to setup an exchange for that.

The ph probe on the controller is not reading correctly when in the tank.
I don’t know why this is and can definitely use some help.
The probe is working fine. When I put water in a container out of tank the ph jumps up to 8.0. The water is in a plastic container one second removed from the tank.
In the tank it’s not reaching 7.0. It stays at around 6.8-6.9.

I have ruled out stray current. I have unplugged everything except the probe and got the same readings. I even put in a grounding probe.
I have an air stone with outside air source in the tank. I even opened all doors/windows and out in fans to be sure it’s not co2 in my house. None of this made any difference.

I really can use some support on this.

Ok so believe it or not i found the darn issue causing the PH probe to read incorrectly in tank.
It was the TEMP PROBE all along!!!

Soon as i unplugged the temp probe the PH jumped from 6.5 to 8.1 (much better!!!).

I will test the PH expansion again now.

Ok so the Ph Exp is still not working.

The PH7 and PH10 calibration solutions stay around the same value. =/- 10.

Please set up an exchange asap.
