I have set up the two float switches in the standard configuration (low switch with wires at top).
The low switch activates the relay properly. However, the float switch does not seem to turn off/disengage the relay. It only shuts off either after the 60s timer expires (requiring me to clear the alarm from the RA), or if I manually move the high switch (wires down) to the end opposite its wires. That promptly shuts off the relay on port 1. But the low switch seems to only toggle on, and not off again.
Might I have a bad/sticky float switch?

ATO timeout vs high float sw on
I did but not as closely as I did this time. I am now clear that it will run until high switch is on or the timeout is exceeded.binder wrote:Did you read through this post?

This I guess means that unless the two switches are mounted quite close together (ie similar distance from water) the ATO will consistently time out, setting the ATO timeout flag until cleared. So I will remount the high switch so it's activated prior to the timeout currently at 60s. Thanks.
