My LCD Screen started to act strange, occasionally non-responsive. Now this nuisance has degraded into flickering and an unworkable controller that appears to reboot itself, flicker between a red and green LED and otherwise not be helpful. Then these symptoms change again if I remove all wires and USB accessories. Replacing the controller logic board just gives a green light but not even a flicker from the LCD. I have searched the forum and I don't think posts from 2013 apply to a star controller. I'd like to start from the beginning.
What is the recommended order in which to diagnose and fix what started out as a nuisance intermittant touchscreen response issue that has developed into a looping star controller.

You can try reseating the ribbon cable on both sides and clean it with alcohol, if that doesn't work you probably need a new screen.
