basic question

Post by emict326 »

I am looking at purchasing a RA

To start out I am just going very basic, however in the future I want to add wifi, add ato, and RF control, and possibly dosing 2 parts

Do I have to get the expansion hub to plug in the control boxes?

Also I am currently running DIY t5 lights but will upgrade to DIY LED (some day) what dimming signal type should I get

The expansion hub is only required for 2 or more expansion modules.
In the list you mentioned, there is only one expansion module, so you won't need the expansion hub.
The dimming signal will depend on which driver you choose.
Many users just opt to go with the most popular Meanwell "P" drivers, which you can choose the PWM dimming signal.

The RF expansion module connects to the expansion bus located on the relay box. The wifi attachment is not considered an expansion module, but an attachment and it is connected to the head unit.
