Any interest on dosing pumps?
I'm about to open pre-order at a very low price ($100) for this unit.

How many mL/min and also how many rollers does is use?

Your killing me with all these add-ons... or better put, killing the wallet.

Seems like a sweet deal considering the cheapest single dosing pump on bulkreefsupply is $90, so 2 pumps for $100 is a no brainer as long as they are good quality and easy to replace wearable parts.

I still haven't even got my RA up and running yet.. still have A LOT of learning to do with coding just to get it to work for me, which is the main reason it isn't running. Now I need to make an adapter to install the new bootloader.

It's about 0.75ml/s with 3 rollers.
Very similar heads than the bubble magus and profilux.
In fact, they could be used as replacements if one would ever want to, but I'll have all wearable parts too.

Very interesting. I personally have no use for dosing pumps at this time but this is a very tempting offer.

I might be interested. Can we get some more specs? Possibly a retail link to see some reviews of any pros/cons of unit. How are you thinking of integrating it with the current controller?

They are just dosing pumps with nothing special on them. Much like Drew's doser.
Because RA already offers the functions to control dosing pumps by seconds, there is no real need for anything that would just end up increasing the cost of the unit.
Unfortunatelly you will have to wait for user reviews. It is a brand new product coming into the market.

Question, are each doser on their own plug? Seems like it would be a huge issue if both dosers came on at the same time due to using 1 plug. I am assuming this was thought of though and there are 2 plugs, but just had to ask to verify.

It’s been a while since we last covered the Reef Angel controller, but the creators of this neat open source controller haven’t been sitting still. Along with a lot of improvement software wise, Reef Angel has just announced that they are releasing their own dosing pumps for the controller. The two-channel Reef Angel dosing pump lacks independent control, but at $100 on preorder these modules are extremely competitively priced. The pumps are fully controllable via the Reef Angel and dose around 0.75ml/s. More info on the dosing pump can be found on the Reef Angel forums. The dosing pumps should release in the next couple of months

This is what I wrote about it the day before on AdvancedAquarist in a reply to Leonard Ho:

I agree building/programming an Arduino isn't for everyone.. even myself, I don't have the time to build one myself, which is why I bought a Reef Angel. The software/features on it seem to be changing daily, and for the better. I agree, software isn't the greatest as of today.. but if progress keeps moving forward like it is today, within 12 months it is going to be the best controller on the market IMO. They just announced a Dual Dosing pump option for $100 last week, can't beat that even from BRS.

I wonder why the ReefBuilders article says the unit lacks independent control yet states it is 2 channel. The article confused me a little bit.

I think they were comparing it to something like the Bubble Magus doser which has the controller built into it so it is stand alone.. the only way this doser would work is with some type of timer to plug it into (be it a reef angel or any other controller or just a couple simple digital timers).

I already have some, but great price!
The only issue I see : 0.75ml/m is pretty slow.
Drews dosers are 1.6 ml/m, and I had to replace those with bigger ones for my lightly stocked 200G tank.
My guess is that 0.75 ml/m is pushing it on a well stocked 50G tank.

I would like to know what do I need to get working the two Dosing Pumps ?:
- "Expansion Hub" + 1 "Dosing Pumps"
or
- "Relay Expansion Module" + 1 "Dosing Pumps"
or
- only the "Dosing Pumps"

the module "Dosing Pumps" is one USB or two or other?

You don't need the relay expansion module to use the dosing pumps.
You can use them on the main relay box.

Roberto - Any information on flow rate with lift? I'm purchasing a Nuvo Mini 38 which would have a minimum height from the pump to distribution point of 20".

I don't have that, but because of the nature of how peristaltic pumps push water through the tubing, the height achieved is pretty high.
I have at least 20" on mine with no problems.

Description says:
"4 plastic tubing adapters and 2 silicone tubings with 0.15" OD"

How long are the 2 silicone tubings and the tubing adapters?

The tubing is just long enough to have about 1" to 2" outside the pump head and the adapter is about 3/4".
