Portal - Unreachable Address

Hi.

I am strugling to get he portal to see my unit. I have setup a ddns account, and via that I do get the Web Server banner.

http://dropreef.dlinkddns.com:2000/

Any suggestions?

You must input that domain name (and only the domain name) inside the URL in the Portal. Then the portal will attempt to communicate with your controller.

Side note, I was not able to connect your controller by viewing the web page. When I try to navigate the page, it returns a 10.0.0.3 IP address which is a non-routable address. the entire subnet 10.X.X.X is a class A private network and is not publicly available on the internet. It sounds like you have the wrong IP address being updated in your DDNS account. All of those DDNS accounts/services have a utility app or built-in app on the routers that automatically update your router's public IP address when it changes. There is not a need for you to do it manually.
So you should check to see if your IP address is entered correctly. Then try to access your controller from some place outside of your own network.

ok, going to chamge my range to a 192.168.1.* , will try then.

It looks like my portal is in Webbanner mode - how do I change it to live?

Just update on the Portal the Reef Angel WIFI address (click on update )

Then add your address. Mine is sebyte.dyndns.org:2000, and I think you said yours was dropreef.dlinkddns.com:2000

Only enter this and not the http:// part or the final backslash.
