LED Drivers question
LED Drivers question
I have the PWM version of RA, is there any way to control a 0-10 V ANALOG driver? Just to be sure before buying a DIY kit.
Thanks !!
Thanks !!
Re: LED Drivers question
Although is does work, you will have non-linear dimming

Re: LED Drivers question
Hi Roberto the driver is a 700mA Hyperon from ReefLEDLights, is there a way to have a linear response with these?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: LED Drivers question
If the driver is analog type, the only way to get a linear response is the analog version of relay box.

Re: LED Drivers question
Roberto, is there any info (curves perhaps) of how much non-linearity one could expect using a 0-10 analog with the PWM output? I asume that 100% input on the driver vía de PWM signal gives 100% output for the leds (is that right?), what about 50% or 15%?
The reason for all this is because the seller dont have the PWM option in his store, and I really dont want to buy LEDS and drivers to differents sellers
Thanks!

Re: LED Drivers question
I don't have it, but I would think it would look like a logarithm

Re: LED Drivers question
Hi Danielsn
If you have not yet bought your kit, I would recommend MeanWell drivers.
Also if you have not read this post http://forum.reefangel.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=788 have a read.
I have no connection with the company mentioned only bought componants from them when designing my own DIY LED system.

Re: LED Drivers question
Hi Steve, thank you for your help on this ..
I´m planning to have 2 units with a total of 96 LEDs as follows (in 2 heat sinks about 18" each):
30 XP-G cool white
48 XT-E Royal blue
16 XP-E Blue
2 Violet UV
I was thinking using Meanwell ELN 60-48P, which can have between 8 and 12 leds per driver, so I will need 8 drivers (4 in channle white and 4 in channel actinic)
-----------------Channel
-----------------W---W---W---W----Ac----Ac----Ac----Ac
-----------------Dv1-Dv2-Dv3--Dv4--Dv5---Dv6--Dv7--Dv8
Cool White-----12---12---3----3----0-----0-----0-----0
Royal Blue-------0-----0---1----1---11---11----12---12
Blue--------------0-----0---8----8----0-----0-----0-----0
Violet UV---------0-----0---0----0----1-----1-----0-----0
I know from your post that you are using the LPF 90D-48 with led in parrallel strings and is working Ok, any opinion is apreciated
Thanks!

Re: LED Drivers question
Big setup!
Good choice if you can afford that many drivers, my approach is more economic thats all
