decisions

Post by cherub »

Well I am ready to buy!

I had a question on the memory though. wth 32kb....

It seems like everyone who needs more memory needs like 2-5 more kb but the memory after the 32kb is massive by scale. I have a 75 gallon tank with skimmer, 2 LED lamps(built in controllers), 2 powerheads, heater, return pump, and pump for my gfo reactor. Obviously I want to control all of it with this. Is the 32kb enough for this or should I pay the extra 50? I am all about saving money these days but need to know how much 32kb can really do. What if I ever change to different LED's and need to control them too?

You should be fine with standard RA.
It's only when you want to really dig into the code and start creating visual effects with your lights besides the usual sunrise/sunset effect.
If you plan on doing cloud covers, lightining or east to west, I'd recommend you going with the RA+.

Cherub,

My advice would be: a $50 investment now, "futureproofs" your purchase.

I'd rather spend the extra $50 now, than to have to buy a whole upgrade down the road when you want to add some cool new feature.

I say +1 jpalmers advice...whether it is a ReefAngel, a new car or a cordless drill, I always wind up regretting skimping to save a few dollars... :P
