One last question for the night I swear. I have it set up and ill see if lights kick on @ schedule. Or if fans come on as needed. Etc. Im just afraid to add things without starting over from scratch. Basically why is it when I follow the instructions does it not have vortech control out the code provided . I just want to be more self sufficient and not so dependant

Did you setup the internal memory settings?
You chose to go with internal memory settings, according to your code.
Does the Portal and Android show the correct settings?

If you are not comfortable using memory settings, maybe you should stick to leaving them in your code.
That way you don't need to mess with internal memory.
That's why i mention that it should be used by more experienced users.
When you have more confidence and understanding on what is going on, you can try moving your settings to memory.
What do you think of putting settings on the code?

I hear ya. Its just odd since before with old install wizard it was flawless and seamless and now that I am adapting to new code maker I guess im getting messed up. That being said I changed portal end saved settings and set all to auto and it looks like it is starting to come around.

I think it is the android settings.
You must uncheck Pre v1.0 libs on settings

It was part of the roll out from the libs 1.0 upgrade that had a major change on the memory settings.

update, vortechs perfect. water level perfect heater and fan control perfect light timing is off. When using the wizard internal or for newb selection the question I ask is this. If I want port 1 actnic 9am -9pm and mh 12-6pm how do I do that?
I am thinking I am messing something up. Example on the portal I can change times and it loads to controller. but on portal it doesn't have port 1 port 2 it has actnic and daylight and offset mumbo jumbo. I set it to the best of my limited ability to mirror my desires and I think that is the problem. but when leaving it to the wizard I am also missing the correct settings. so on the portal since that would be the easiest way for me to alter controller at work. time schedule selection what is port 1 and what is port 2.

The schedule you set has to be for your main lights.
Set the schedule to 12pm-6pm.
The actinics are on 3 hours offset, so you choose 180 offset minutes.
They will turn on 3 hours prior and off 3 hour after your main lights.
