I'll add:

It's like riding a bike :)

120VAC end: Wall Outlet
white (+) black (-) pair to ---> brown (+) blue (-)

LED end (1): LEDs
red(+) black (-) ----> to your LED string: Start with (+) one end of LED string, then end with a (-). Wire in Series...

LED end (2): Dimmer (PWM): To ReefAngel PWM port.
blue (+) white (-)

A good guide:

Out for now...but not over.

ΟK! i have the same conection but the diming does not work....... The leds keep open and close with no diming, like to open and close from switch. The driver is conected to DP, what is the problem????

It sounds like you are connected to an analog driver not a pwm driver... but you've confirmed the model a few times that it is the PWM model... I'll have to defer to others who have more experience here, but that would be my guess... :(

What is the AD and DP in the screen?
Are they changing through the day?
Did you measure the voltage on the dimming ports in the relay box?

The AP start to 0% and end to the 100% & DP start to the 10% and end to the 100%, yes changing the through the day.
No i dont measure the voltage on the dimming ports in the relay box but moonlight (parabola) works Ok, start with low voltage and after the light gone be stronger (higher votage)!!
Roberto is it possible to send me the analog model of RA (from mistake)???

The P version of meanwell drivers work on analog signal too, so even if I had sent you analog, which I doubt, it would still work.

So what the problem???I have change 2 diferent tipe of led, the AP & DP is ok, the code is ok, the conections are ok but the diming not work..... £$%^&*^&*$%* Is like the led driver don't take order from controler. the light open end close (with no diming) at 12-13% and after stay just open. :?: :?

A lot of drivers (meanwell definitely) has a cut-off around the 15% mark where the LED will flash on/off at that point. Whatever the last number is that your driver likes should be your minimum brightness. Therefore you should adjust your parabola where it goes from 15% to 100% or whatever cut-off number works for you. This may be your issue.

The point is tha i have not minimum or maximum brightness, i have standar brightnes (from 12-13%) through the light period.

Let's try something different.
Instead of using the dimming ports, we will try with batteries.
If you use a AA battery and a 9V battery, do you see any intensity difference?

Τhe results are: the led driver is stuck because the led open with same brightness in 3 and 9 volt.... Now i want to order new led driver: Mean Well LPF-60D-12. Is compatible with PWM port? :?:

Just as curiosity, what LED diode are you powering with that driver?
Seems to me a lot of current for so little voltage.
Yes, the LPF-60D series of drivers can accept both analog or PWM.

According to my calculations, 8 LEDs of those in serial needs at least 25.6V of forward voltage. 3.2V x 8 = 25.6V minimum.
The driver you mentioned above is meant for 12V.
It won't work.
On top of that, the driver you mentioned above is for 5000mA current. These LEDs are meant to be used on 350mA.
On 4 parallel strings, it comes up to 1400mA total. You are going to fry them all with 5000mA.
1W LED is also very old technology and don't output much light.
I would highly recommend you check with some of the LED vendors out there before you commit to this.
I don't want you to spend money and burn it all :(

These are some of the ones I've seen out there. Pretty sure there are a lot more.

My mistake! 4 led in serial x 8 parallel strings. I know the light is not much but i don't need much light because ihave Discus tank an the fisikal environment is litle cloudy! So the light is ok for me.

Still too powerful.
8 strings in parallel with 4 LEDs per string meets the 12V just fine, but it is still going to pump 5000mA.
Ask your LED supplier, but I think you should go with the LPF-16D series.

5000mA will burn the LEDs so quick you will only see a flash and they will be done.

Well that's what AP/DP stand for. But they can be used for other purpose if not LED. Anything PWM or Analog controlled like Tunze or something else can be used.

You would address each seperately with the two functions SetActinic(byte value); and SetDaylight(byte value);

All you need to do is put the percent you want to put in the function for how you want the port set.

I do not know what is the problem?? I Buy a new led driver (Mean Well LPF 60D 12) and I have the same problem......NO DIMMING. if i buy the RA dimming expansion it will be ok? I bored to give my money with no resolts....

Can you post a diagram of how you connected your led strings to the driver?
60W on 12V is a lot of current.

Does it dim if you use the AA and 9V battery?
Did you try the potentiometer option too?
Can you measure the voltage on the RA dimming ports?

At 0% the AP out put 0,3 V and the led driver 2,6 V. At 100% the AP out put 9,8 V and the led driver 11,8 V. I don't try potentiometer or AA batteries . Is the second led driver with this problem . What I am doing wrong ?

Looks like your dimming channels are working fine.
I'm not so sure the drivers were supposed to go down in voltage like that.
