Tried two different ones, still happens on both, and happens under different com ports when you move the BT device to another usb port.
I'll figure it out somehow, hopefully.

Did you use the correct cable?
The wifi and bluettoth cables are different.
BT cable has on extra wire that will carry the signal for reboot.
Make sure that 5 wire cable is connected between head unit and BT attachment.

Confirmed that I am using the correct cable. I am also getting a lot of crashes on the controller where the status light will go red, the screen will go black, and the unit would be unresponsive.
This is what I'm getting:
Using Port : \\.\COM7
Using Programmer : stk500v2
Overriding Baud Rate : 115200
Rebooting Reef Angel Controller
avrdude: Send: . [1b] . [01] . [00] . [01] . [0e] . [01] . [14]
avrdude: Recv:
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_getsync(): timeout communicating with programmer
avrdude done. Thank you.

Wrong resistor value when the module was built.
It was not rebooting Reef Angel to activate the bootloader.

Nope. It works in that the PC can see it and interact with it, but it will not upload code in my setup.

Make sure the jumper is set to off.
When the connection is established, does the blue led turn on?
When the blue led turn on, does the controller reboot?

Jumper set to off. Blue light comes on when connection is made. Controller does not reboot.

It's a bluetooth 2.1 chip, so it's supposed to work for up to 33 feet, but it all depends on obstructions too.

I have mac air with Mavericks. Just bought the BT attachment. When I pair the BT, it does stay with the discovered devices but does not have the connect option. I need to remove and rediscover to get it connected. Anyone has the same issue?
