Wifi setup not working

Post by Saltydogg »

Ok got the wifi module connected to network but when I uploaded the wifi test code to the controller then connected to wifi module and entered the ip address given during the setup on the wifi utility nothing comes up with that ip address? Am I completely missing something? Another question is the port given to me in ip address is 8080 is that right?? Any help appreciated :)

That does not look correct.
Can you take a screen shot of the wifi utility and post here?

How can I screen shot it into this forum?

It does say

Associated: true
Authenticated: true
DHCP: true
Mode: WPA2
IP address and port: 192.168.1.67:8080

Then the verbiage about if blue light is still blinking ...wifi could not connect to network
FYI I have a steady blinking green light no blue so I am assuming I am connected to wifi.

At the bottom it does say

Trying to connect to your router...
Does that mean anything??

You can use it that way with port 8080 or you can restore factory settings and do over again.
If you use that way, browse http://192.168.1.67:8080 with the wifi attachment connected to your RA.
Do you get anything now?

Nothing. To ensure I have test code procedure right.... I selected wifi test from examples menu, uploaded to controller and as soon as that was done I connected the wifi module. The module had a blnking green light but on the actual controller screen it showed wifi setup already done and then at bottom said up?

You have the wrong code then.
Make sure it is WifiTestCode and not WifiSetup.
