Amp Draw Display?
Amp Draw Display?
Just curious, does this controller give you the amount of amp draw from the relay?
Re: Amp Draw Display?
Leave it to me to find the one and only thing this controller doesn't have that some do. Could this ever be fixed in the future? I guess it would be a relay upgrade right? (along with added coding of course to display it)
This might be out of the scope of this forum, maybe more for reefcentral, but I live in an apartment and the outlets i will be hooking my system up to go to a breaker box on one breaker that is "10.0 AIC" (not sure what AIC means, kind of assuming its amps). Is this enough for a 250w hamilton MH, 4X65w PC, ATO pump, RO 110 Skimmer, controller, 20w PC for sump, two Maxijet 1200, Mag Drive 7? Obviously this is a hard question to ask.
Anyone please jump in....

Amp interrupting capacity (max)
You can draw 10 amps before it pops basically. Do the math on your equip and see if it is less than 10 amps.
That easy

Re: Amp Draw Display?
I'm no electrician but 10 amps seems awful low for a normal residential circuit breaker in a breaker panel. Again, not an electrician but 95% of the breaker panels I have ever looked in have had 20 amp breakers, at least here in the US.

Re: Amp Draw Display?
well 10 amps is around 1200watts...
So that is not a lot at all...and probably NOT enough for all of your equipment.
15 amps is the minimum in the US I believe.

Yeah, most rooms are either 15 or 20 amps. You get into higher amp breakers when you work with your AC, Furnace, Stove/Range/Oven, Washer/Dryer, etc.DrewPalmer04 wrote:15 amps is the minimum in the US I believe.
