Temp probe

Post by ecam »

Is there a calibration process for the temp probe. I set them up and the water is reading 68 when its actually 78 and the room is reading 78 when its actually 73 ( i checked to make sure they are not switched).

I assumed plug and play so that i just dropped into water and plugged up and reset the reef angel. Did i miss something?

They are calibrated when the manufacturer makes the chips.
What happens when you place both in water or both in room temperature?

Okay..... So i took the probe out of the water. The room temp stayed at 68.1 while the one I took out of the water drop all the way to 59.7. When i put them both in water they equalized to 78.1. And then when I took them both out of the water the temps are together now. But wrong...

and when i put them in again... the water temp is at 78.1 per the probe and my checker is saying 76.1

the living temp is 72 and the reef angel probe is saying 57

???

My living room is at 73.0 So why is it so far off?

What happens if you use only one probe at a time?
