Reef angel not in sync while uploading

I just bought a used Reef ANgel controller and wanted to upload code but got an error

I read all the troubleshooting tips but no luck any help would be much appreciated.

Is that the correct com port selected? Is the correct Board selected? Is the cable plugged in right?

yes to correct com(its the only com that is recognized), plugged in all the way to the right with the black wire all the way to the right as well and tried all 3 boards.

Does the controller reboot a few seconds after you hit upload?

Yes i click upload and a few seconds go by and the screen shuts off on the controller red light turns on and blinks and the screen comes back on.

Gonna try to upload from my desktop see if anything changes... any suggestions welcomed

So got the same problem on my laptop. Still not in sync... Need help please...

If you tried the correct port and board and still doesn't work, it would be either the board or the cable.
Did the original owner say that it was working?
If you want, you can send it for analysis.

He gave me your number he was a cop and you went on his computer and fixed it. He has a code already loaded on.

it was working as of last week he just took down his tank

I think it is the cord not to sure if the driver is installed correctly. on my laptop it showed com3 and on my desktop it used com11. i had to download something to even recognize the driver
