Hey guys, this is my first post and I am really looking foward to be part of this community! I am planning on buying my first aquarium controller soon and I am leaning towards RA. I am a big DIY guy, some of my projects include building my own aquarium tank, stand & LED light fixture.
I want my "soon to buy" RA to controll my DIY LED light fixture which consists of 18 CREE leds (9 whites, 9 blue's) that are powered by 4 x 1000ma Luxdrive BuckPucks (2 for whites, 2 for blue's). I currently have the hability to dim the leds using potentiometers on the controllers.
My questions are the following:
1. Does RA still has problems with buckpucks (creates noise)? If this is true, is there any remediation? or do I have to purchase new LED drivers?
2. Do I need an expansion module to controll 4 Buckpucks (2 for whites, 2 for blue's) or can I do this with the out of box RA?
3. Can I create a Sunset / Sunrise effect? I assume yes.
Question on buckpucks and wiring
Re: Question on buckpucks and wiring
1. If it is the old bubkpucks, you may just end up having issues.
The newer ones seem to be ok.
I think DrewPalmer04 is using them.
2. You should be able to connect 2 drivers in parallel and use only 2 channels.
3. Yes, you can create those effects.

Re: Question on buckpucks and wiring
I'm using them. Well 2 of them. I'm switching over to LDD drivers though. They are like $5-$8 each and dimmable to 0%!
