USB to Network Converter

Post by 02vetteboy »

I am wondering if I could use a USB to Netwrok cable converter so I can plu the Reef Angel in to a netwrok plu in my fish room that is hard wired to my router? Has anyone tried this? If so how did it work?

The RA does not have a USB port.
Wifi is the easiest way to tap into your network.

THe RA uses a TTl to usb cable to connect to the computer correct? If I went from that cable to a usb to network adapter then hard wired to a router would that work? I am thinking something like this.

It doesn't work that way.
You need a host to implement the USB protocol.
If you could find a serial TTL to Ethernet, it would work for you.

Thank you for the quick reply. I am going to start looking for an alternative to what I had origanally planned.
