Help. 90% of my probes are not registering.

Post by Sacohen »

I rearranged my Temp probes becuase I realized that they were in the wrong ports and labeled wrong and everything was fine after that, but about 30 min later I lost all 3 temp probes and my salinity probe stopped registering.

On the head unit the 3 temp readings say error and the Salinity reads 6.

On everything else, Portal, Andriod App, RA Client and gadget the temps read 0 and Salinity reads 6. pH is fine on everything and everything else seems to be functioning properly.

I rebooted with no luck.

I reloaded the original code and then my code and still the same results.

What could have happened and how can I fix it?

Please Help.

Thanks you very much.

Did you try one probe at a time?
You must reboot everytime you plug or unplug a probe.

I have not yet.
I'll try them 1 at a time in a bit.
I didn't know that you had to reboot after every time you unplug or plug in a probe, but I did reboot 3 time after I noticed the 0 readings.

Once I unplugged the unit and plugged it back in causing a reboot.
Once it rebooted after I re-loaded the default code.
and then I reloaded my code and it rebooted after that.

Every thing was working fine after I re-arranged the temp probes for about 30 min and I still don't understand why the Salinity went out. I didn't touch that at all.

Roberto I got everything working.
The plug for the Salinity module had fallen out so plugging that back in took care of that.

As far as the Temperature probe. I tried 1 at a time (with reboots in between) and nothing then I pulled them all out and plugged them all back in again triple checked that they were in correctly (not missing a pin or anything) and the rebooted again and they all showed up again.

I'm not sure what the issue was, but everything is reading now.
Now I can look into that other issue of the Salinity dropping and coming back by 6ppt everyday.

I'll keep an eye on it and see if it still does it or if it's stable now.
