Your Reef Angel Wifi Attachment is now configured with the settings provided.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

If the blue LED is still blinking, it means that the Reef Angel Wifi Attachment could not connect to your wifi network.

Found router SBG6580

Port 2000 is now being forwarded to 0.0.0.0

Wifi utility cannot set static ip.
You need to manual set it using tera term or putty

Right - but when I set it in TerraTerm or Putty it doesn't "stick" I save, reboot, and my setting disappears.... It pretends to accept it, but doesn't keep it.

Did you set dhcp off like lnevo said?

Code: Select all

set i d 0

According to the manual, what you are describing is expected behavior:
2.3.29 set ip address <address>
This command sets the WiFly module’s IP address, where <address> is an IP address
in the form <value>.<value>.<value>.<value> with <value> being a number between 0
and 255. If DHCP is turned on, the IP address is assigned and overwritten when the
module associates with an access point. IP addresses are “.” delimited.

you're right - turning the DHCP off allows it to save the IP....

of course it is still now solving my problem... any maybe I've changed too many settings that the "factory reset" doesn't fix trying to get it to work, so I'm probably missing something here

results for get w:
get w

SSID=SSID
Chan=0
ExtAnt=0
Join=1
Auth=OPEN
Mask=0x1fff
Rate=12, 24 Mb
Linkmon=5
Passphrase=passphrase
<2.38>
and get i:
get i

IF=UP
DHCP=OFF
IP=192.168.10.9:2000
NM=255.255.255.0
GW=192.168.10.1
