RA locked up

Post by sfboarders »

I noticed the lights on my frag tank were not on yesterday so I checked the controller and it was locked up. I had to unplug/plug the cord to reset the RA. The temp dropped to 71 degrees and the ATO did not kick in. I read that a Koralia Nanos has caused problems for others but that is not plugged into the RA. Not too sure why it locked up. Is there an audible alarm I can set when the temp gets to a certain temp? Unfortunately I don't have the wifi module to monitor online (still waiting for them to get back in stock). I used Curt's RAGen to program everything. Below is what I have plugged in to the RA.

Vortech MP10
Bubble Magus skimmer
100w Rena Smartheater
Eheim 1250
Aqualifter
Current 4x24W T5
23W CFL fuge light
Maxi-jet1200

The issue that some had in the past was the spike that koralia pumps were generating when turning on/off too frequently when using the wavemaker function.
This spike is cause by the inductive nature of the pumps, so it is not because of the brand.
Are you using the wavemaker function?
Roberto.

I no longer use the wavemaker since I bought my MP10. I set it to "0" seconds.
