Is reef angel right for me

Post by Snowmansnow »

To be honest I've always used apex.... It's a great unit, but I'm open to new things.

Im running an 80g shallow reef.
I want to :
remotely monitor parameters with iPhone / iPad as well as control / monitor remotely when not on the local network.
Do basic timers for MH lighting
Eventually control doses or ca rx
View a web feed from anywhere to see my tank

Very basic thing I know.... Will Ra do these?

Absolutely. Web feed is dependent on your IP cam. It comes with float switches for ATO. You can add a water level sensor if you want to be extra fancy.

You'll need the RA+ and the WiFi attachment.

If you want to monitor the ph of your future calcium reactor then you'll want a ph Expansion. You won't need an expansion hub until you go beyond 2 expansions. For top off you may want to consider the water level expansion (single or multi) as well. The float switches work good too, the water level provides more exact measurement and flexibility.
