decision on hold b/c of code anxiety

Post by miked »

I want to order the analog RA, WiFi, and dimmable cable to do the following. I downloaded the latest version of RA and ragen today to play with it but do not see options for what I want to do. I am not familiar w programming all.
Easy to set up pumps and feed mode :D
Easy to set up pumps and heater and auto top off for water change mode :D
Not sure how to set up heater outlet shutoff at say 82°F reading on the temp probe :?:
Not sure how to set auto top off with aqualifter and high + high/high switches to have a 5 minute delay to prevent sloshing kicking it on and Max run time of 1 hour on for every 6 hour intervals :?:
How to program LED channel 1 off- to 15% @ 10am ramping to 70% @1pm-5pm and ramp down to 15% @9pm-off
LED channel 2 to off- 15% @ 12pm ramping to 60% @ 1pm-5pm and ramp down to 15% @8pm-off
Other things like turn off one powergead overnight.
And more as I get more familiar.
Am I missing something in ragen to do what I am explaining above?any way to have specific code pre loaded onto my newly purchased RA if I provide specifics like above?

Please ease my mind so I can take the plunge

Thanks

You can set all these settings through any of the available apps (Client, Status, iPhone or Android)
You can also pre-set them using the internal memory file, which can be generated by going to Controller->Internal Memory on RAGen.
Or open the standard internal memory code File->Sketchbook->Example codes->InitialInternalMemory on your Arduino software.

Miked;

Come on, jump in! If you like DIY at all, you will have a blast. I am not a programmer either but have enough IT in me to at least understand what everyone is talking about. Also, let me let you in on a little secret...I haven't WRITTEN a line of code yet. Everything I've done so far has been copy and paste from someone here on the board. Also, the support on the board has been phenomenal. So do your research but let's go. We're waiting on you.

I'm also continuing to work on making RAGen more "user-friendly". It's tough to keep up with all the stuff that everybody comes up with that they like to do. I'm sure if you ask anybody that's used RAGen, it has come a long way since its creation. It's getting better and better though....still not where I want it at yet, but getting there.
