Re: eagle files and firmware for cloud wifi attachment
Hi again, @Roberto: thanks again, but I've found another solution, that is way simplier for me and gave me a working wifi module after 15min and with only 5€ costs Just buy a nodemcu esp8266, install the arduino software and flash https://github.com/v01d-cypher/ReefAngel_ESP8266 after changing the n...

sorry, I have no Altium here. Well, actually I just need a part list and a print of the PCB, so a PDF would be great.
Thanks!

Re: eagle files and firmware for cloud wifi attachment
crowed too soon  my wifi attachement now works "sometimes". If I connect it, I get the green slow flashing every second or third try. But it looses the connection after a few minutes and then loops with the blue flashing. So I would like to ask again for the eagle files of the cloud ...

eagle files and firmware for cloud wifi attachment
Hi, (please excuse my bad english  ) my (old) wifi attachment seems to be broken, it does not connect to my wifi anymore (blinking blue), although I've already tried all 3 methods described in the manual to configure it. I live in Europe, so ordering just a new attachment is quite expensive be...

Re: Lowering temperature at night
with 2. and 3. I referred to the second and third question of the topic
But meanwhile I've seen, that Params.Temp is also used in the XML output of the WIFI interface. So it should be 305 and °C.
cheers,
Christian

I always find the answer just after posting
1) ReefAngel.Params.Temp[T1_PROBE] seems to do the job.
But 2. and 3.?

Lowering temperature at night
Hi, I would like to lower the temperature of my freshwater tank at night. The idea was to turn off the heaters between 22:00-6:00 whenever the temperature is higher than the allowed temperature and turn them on again if it's under a certain limit. My problems: 1. how can I read the temperature of a ...

Hi, I'm using the RA half a year now and just wanted to say thanks for this great product. I gives me a lot more confidence, that all is right at home and even lets me troubleshoot some things when I'm away. With my automatic water change I even have much more time then before. Keep up the good work...

Re: Android Reef Angel Status
Hi, what a great app! Many many thanks for it. I'm using it with an old android phone as a "remote" for the RA mounted directly on the wall behind my tank. Today I've found the notifications in your app, another great thing. I was wondering if one could setup the ringtone for the notificat...

Re: wifi security
Hi, I was also not happy with this. So my solution to secure the access is like this: First, I restrict port 2000 to my local network only. So only at home I can control the RA with the app. For secure remote access, I use connectbot for Android to login at home with a secure SSH connection and port...

Merge RA with standard IDE
Hi, is it possible to use one Arduino IDE to program the RA and also other Arduino boards? I just noticed that after installing the standard IDE the menu Tools/Boards does not contain the RA controllers anymore. In contrast after reinstalling the RA IDE the arduino boards are missing. So how to merg...

Buzzer specs?
Hi, I would like to add a buzzer to my RA for acoustic alerts. I'm from europe, so ordering a buzzer is not really an option (40$ for shipping). Can anybody give me some specs about a buzzer that would work with the RA? I have already tried some buzzers on the ATO ports, but could only hear a very v...

Re: Using return pump with UPS
Hi Roberto, I thought there could only be one menu at a time. So how does the wc code override the feeding code? Just another idea for this: Could I configure a non existent second relay box, assign the return pump to one of its ports and use the adapters port 8 as opposite of the virtual port? Woul...

Using return pump with UPS
Hi, I currently power my return pump with an UPS. To be able to switch the return off, e.g. in feeding or waterchange mode, I have a DIY adapter between UPS and return pump, that is connected with relay port 8 of the RA. Whenever this port is powered on it toggles a relay in the adapter, that turns ...

Re: analog dimming of OSRAM ballast with 1-10V interface
FYI - dimming works fine with the OSRAM ballast It's also possible to control two ballasts with one dimming port (I currently have 3 ballasts, but only two dimming ports).

Re: analog dimming of OSRAM ballast with 1-10V interface
Hi Roberto, thanks, so I will give it a try. I think you can do it if you have a RA with analog dimming. yes, I have. BTW - I had a look into the relay box and have seen those jumpers labeld "PWM/analog". Can I simply switch the type of the relay box with these jumpers? cheers, Christian

Using 3rd party shields?
Hi, I'm from europe, so it's quite expensive to extend my RA controller with additional extensions (shipping + tax). Unfortunately there's no european distributor :( So I've wondered if one could also use one of the 3rd party shields e.g. an Adafruit 16-channel PWM/Servo Shield. If so, what are the ...

analog dimming of OSRAM ballast with 1-10V interface
Hi, hope you don't mind if I ask before testing, but I want to avoid to damage my RA or other hardware ;) I use OSRAM ballasts (QTi 1x35/49/80/220-240 DIM) that have a 1-10V interface for dimming. But if I get this right this is realized as a current sink (hope this is the right term in english ;) )...

I could use one of the ATO ports. Do you have a code sample that shows how to turn the relay on/off?I just use one of the ATO ports to trigger my relay. http://forum.reefangel.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1415

Simpliest way to switch buttons
Hi, I'm new to this controller, so I hope this is not a silly question. The relay box is used to turn on/off any devices. But if I want to simply switch something like the standby button of my UPS or any other switch, what is the best way for this? I thought of a 230V relay that is plugged into the ...

Hi, this seems not to affect the android app. Is there a way to change it too to celsius? Is the app open source too? If yes, where can I find the sources? /EDIT: sorry, it does affect the app, had still the controller connected to the pc instead of the wifi attachement ;) Anyway, perhaps you can te...
