Re: Water level, internal memory and 1.0.7 libraries

to elaborate... ReefAngel.WaterLevelATO( Port7,120,72,74 ); 120 is the amount of seconds your port will stay on until it times out. 72% (my example) is when it would turn on and 74% is when it would turn off. those variables you'd have to figure out on your own regarding how long it takes for your ...

Jebao cable length

My sump and Reef Angel are in the basement, so I assume that the Jebao cable isn't long enough to reach one floor above. Is it a simple matter of splicing in longer wires?

Water level, internal memory and 1.0.7 libraries

With the new library release, I want to switch from code to internal memory. I am currently using this for code: if (ReefAngel.WaterLevel.GetLevel()<42 && ReefAngel.WaterLevel.GetLevel()>0) ReefAngel.Relay.On(Port1); if (ReefAngel.WaterLevel.GetLevel()>45) ReefAngel.Relay.Off(Port1); Is this...

Re: Two Reef Angels with wifi on one router

I'll be watching my buddies corals while he builds his house. He has a RA with wifi that he wants to setup, but we're not sure how to connect two wifi's to one router. Do they both port forward 2000 and different IP addresses? you can forward one on port 2000 and one on 2001. i do this at home. you...

Using the water level sensor would allow you to get an alert when the water reached a certain height, adding another layer of safety.

FWIW, I had intermittent disconnection problems with my wifi. Tried two different routers, a Belkin that would not stay connected, and a Netgear that worked most of the time. Recently switched to a new Linksys 2700, and have not had any issues since. Working flawlessly. Not trying to promote any cer...

Wireless router, what's a good one?

I originally had a Belkin that would not communicate with the RA. Switched to a Netgear, and worked good until two days ago. Now it won't connect to the cable modem, and looks like I need a new one. Anybody have a good suggestion on a router that works well with the RA?

With a newer router, you may be able to log in and do it through the browser. Check that the router's firmware is up to date, also.

What is the difference between setting notifications in the Client vs. the Portal. Is one better or preferred than the other?

Re: New ATO pressure switch-setup with Wizard?

It sounds like you did the calibration correctly. After I did the calibration, I filled the sump to the level that i wanted to maintain, then zip tied the tube in the sump so that the water level was roughly in the middle of the tube. This gave a reading of 45. As long as the tube is in the same pos...

Re: New ATO pressure switch-setup with Wizard?

Ran the new code and everything seems to function fine. The pump cycled correctly without the rapid on-off clicking. I used these settings: ReefAngel.WaterLevelATO(Port1,60,43,45); I tightened up the level from 42 to 43, giving a 2% total range. On the 100 gallon stock tank sump, that required the A...

I can give this a try in the next few days. I see where the files get overwritten, but where does the code go? I pushed the libraries changes to branch issue54. We just need to test :) Anyone interested? The function works like this: ReefAngel.WaterLevelATO(Port1,30,61,63); ATO pump on Port1 Timeout...

Increase surface turbulence and run macro algae opposite your DT lights. If you're already using macro, make sure it's growing fast by adding more light, flow, rotation. A higher overall respiration of organisms in your system is the path to take.

Re: Water Level Sensor - How does it work?

I take it the top of the "pipe" is plugged with a cap and air hose and the bottom is left open and submerged. So whatever air is trapped in the tube compresses the air up through the pipe and tube to the sensor? like when you put a glass upside down in the water and trap air inside... Cor...

Re: Heater masking itself off

Yes, using extension, but it's not necessary. Wasn't quite long enough to make it to DT one floor above, so it's in the sump.

Changed code, uploaded, put T2 in water. Reads 76.1, same as T1, and heater is on.

The controller does have the red status led on, but I cleared that by pressing ATO clear. I didn't try overheat clear.
