Re: ReefAngel external web access [GUIDE]
Note: Your "Add Custom Service" step should be able to just do Port 2000 to Port 2000 instead of Port 1999 to Port 2001.
Otherwise, nice guide.
Also, did you know that http://www.no-ip.com offers the free dynamic service (if you didn't want to pay dyndns)? I personally have accounts with both and they both work just fine for me.
Otherwise, nice guide.

Problem is my router only offers dynamic DNS from dyndns.org. I can't use a different one I wish I couldve

Nice work
I will add a link to this from my "where to get started" guide, if that's ok?

Re: ReefAngel external web access [GUIDE]
Actually if you choose the dyndns from the dropdown menu and then input the host you get from no-ip.com, it works just the same... It stumped me too for a little while and then figured it's the same.Poiromaniax wrote: Problem is my router only offers dynamic DNS from dyndns.org. I can't use a different one I wish I couldve

Re: ReefAngel external web access [GUIDE]
It all depends on your brand of router and the firmware it's on I believe.oscarinw wrote:Actually if you choose the dyndns from the dropdown menu and then input the host you get from no-ip.com, it works just the same... As far as I'm aware, you can also get custom firmware to add more dns service providers
Thanks for the info though - hopefully it will help someone out
