wifi expansion hub can't connect to cloud
Hi
I have a wifi expansion hub but am having issues connecting it to the RA cloud. When setting up the expansion hub I use the same setup as the wifi attachment using 192.168.4.1 to setup the wifi and RA cloud login. However once I click save I only get a blinking magenta led meaning it's trying to connect to the RA cloud. My router picks up the expansion hub fine but I can't get past the blinking magenta led. I've tried using unencrypted username/password and encrypted username/password but no luck. Has anyone come across this problem or know what might be causing this? This issue started right around the time when I had to encrypt my password when using the webwizard.
Thanks
Tim

Also the username and password should be non encrypted. It's also case sensitive

I didn't realize that there was and update for this hub. This should be the last device shown on the webwizard correct? I'll give that a try later today. Thanks for all the updates to the ReefAngel system.

Re: wifi expansion hub can't connect to cloud
For the hub there is a pin hole by the led light, hit that button while it's connected to the Internet and it will update. The Led should turn Yellow and it should work after that.
If you have any troubles let me know! The web wizard is only for very early versions of the cloud hub and cloud wifi module, it sounds like you have the later version of the module so you won't need it

I don't see the pin hole that you're referring to. I've attached an image of my board.
Thanks

Clicking on AP reset causes the hub to blink blue to begin the process to assign the ssid and cloud username and password. Once these are set and saved the hub goes back to blinking magenta.

You are hitting it when it's connected to WiFi and blinking magenta? So it's never turning yellow?

Yeah. I have hit the ap reset button many times over the past week trying to see if I could get the hub to connect. It may have updated then and i didn't notice, but the led isn't turning yellow now when I hit the button.

Re: wifi expansion hub can't connect to cloud
Let's try factory resetting it and see if that makes a difference. To do that you'll hold the ap Reset button while plugging in the power cable.

I did the factory reset but after entering the wifi and cloud credentials the hub led still blinks magenta.

Interesting... blinking magenta means issues with the user account. For the username you are using "tngo" all lowercase? And your forum password?

Re: wifi expansion hub can't connect to cloud
I believe I am having the same issue since April 11th with the magenta light. The uapp was working fine since then. However, I'm away from my tank for a few days and won't be able to debug. Is there a chance there is something wrong on the server end?

Re: wifi expansion hub can't connect to cloud
Glad to hear, I am making an adjustment to the reconnect function for the cloud WIFI attachment once, I have tested it thoroughly I will push it to the server.
